Edinburgh – Scotland

As I mentioned, I went away to Edinburgh over the weekend and it was a great. After weeks of courseworks and tests, it was very nice to take a break from everything and just enjoy.
I really enjoyed Edinburgh, the food was great; I did not plan to shop but I end up buying a few things from the Christmas market (which I will be showing you guys in another post, otherwise, this post would be incredibly long).
Though ‘a picture worth a thousand words’, I decided to vlog my trip as well as pictures. But the process of editing is going to take a while ( I will try my best to get it up as soon as possible ).
I went with two of my best travel buddies ever ! 🙂

First day:
We arrived in Edinburgh at 5pm but our dinner was at 9pm, so we decided to grab some light snack, we tried Haggis (which is one of the traditional dishes). It was yummy 🙂

And we wandered around the city before heading to the restaurant for dinner, and luckily for us, we arrived in Edinburgh just in time for the Christmas market.

I saw this quote and absolutely love it, can you guess which one?

And at 9pm, we arrived at Castle Terrace, it’s a one Michelin star restaurant in Edinburgh.
They gave us this taster, and this mini burger is just adorable.
I had the tasting menu, it was really nice but I felt so full half-way through..
Second day:
We went up to Arthur’s seat to get the complete view of Edinburgh, it was perfect, the sun shines on hills create a breath-taking view. I really enjoyed the view, but getting up there was not easy at all for me, I don’t go hiking and this was it. I almost gave up half-way up, it took almost 40 minutes for me to get up to the top.

This is my outfit of the day (or you can say weekend, cause I only brought 1 coat with me), I changed sweater and jeans though.

After Arthur’s seat, we went to The Scran & Scallie, this place was very very nice. The food was very tasty and the staff were very friendly too.

As soon as I sat down, I ordered myself a hot chocolate, it was so cold there and very windy.

Oysters is a must for me, I love having oysters so much and they tastes great here in Edinburgh.

My friend had the bone marrow, I had never eaten them before so I gave it a try, not the biggest fan but it quite tasty.
I had the steak pie for main, it was really good. I was full by the end.
After lunch, we headed to the Edinburgh Castle, the view of the city here is gorgeous too.
Dinner at OnDine, this restaurant is popular for its seafood menu, however, it was not my favourite place to eat from the trip.

Third day:
We had to check out that day but we want to go to the Camera Obscura & World of Illusions before checking out. We had so much fun there, if you happen to visit Edinburgh, you should definitely go there.
After checking out, we went to the pub calls The Holyrood 9A, the burger there was great, and the piri-piri fries was very tasty. This is probably why I can’t lose weight, I love food too much .

Well, that’s the end of my journey in Edinburgh.

Hope you guys enjoy this post !

Love,
Kels x
