Alain Ducass @ The Dorchester

It’s my first week back in London and this was my first lunch out. So I always love trying out new food, and I absolutely love this Michelin Star restaurant at the Dorchester hotel, West London. And of course, before any meal, you need to look at the menu, I choose the lunch menu because the price was reasonable for the status of the restaurant.

I absolutely love the theme of the restaurant, because it’s in pink 🙂
Another good thing about the lunch menu is that it comes with 2 glasses of wine (which can be either red or white). And I chose two white.
Next comes something extra, the tasting dish: Tomato jelly with raddish, finishes with cream cheese on top.
I love having unlimited choice of bread at these fine dinning restaurants. However, this is the prettiest bread I have ever seen.

Next comes the starter, I chose the Delicate CHESTNUT veloute, Hereford SNAILS, it was just so flavorful, they blended so well together.
Then I chose the Squid ink PASTA, lobster and halibut, homardine sauce for main. [it looks a bit like Sushi rolls to me, but they taste great 🙂 ]
I was quite full by the end of the main, BUT there’s always room for dessert.:)
Chocolate/ Raspberry

Yet it was not the end of the lunch, we still get a choice of tea or coffee in the end. I was so full from the meal and had too much chocolate, so I wanted something refreshing. Thus, I asked for a fruity type of tea, but there wasn’t any, they named a list of tea and I decided to go with lemongrass tea.
It was probably the most refreshing tea I ever had 🙂
I would definitely recommend this restaurant to any foodies out there. Probably my favourite of all the fine dining restaurants I had tried.
Hope you guys enjoy this post!
