Milano – Fashion Capital of the World

This marks an end to my Italy trip but probably one of the city that I would love to visit again soon – Milan, always known to be the home of many designer brands and one of the fashion capitals of the world. I fall in love with the city as soon as step out of the train. The train station in Milan looks so grand with the beautiful architecture designs.

We took a cab back to the hotel to leave our stuff before heading to the city centre. I wish I had taken some of the photos of the hotel – it was so nice and the room was huge for the price, the only negative thing about the hotel is the distance to the city centre but there is a direct bus from the hotel to the city centre. After we settled in the hotel, we headed straight for the centre,  Milan is so different from the rest of Italy, it was modern blends with breath-taking architectures.
Standing infront of the Milan Cathedral, probably one of the biggest cathedral in Italy.
My outfit for the day is this cream coloured top paired with the blue floral pant, both from Forever21, with the white opened-toes mid-heel from Zara. What I love about the top is it’s simple yet elegance as the sleeves is quite difference, though it sleeveless, the design adds a little fabric on a side so it’s not too reveling and some pearls are added. And as for the pant, I love the blue floral pattern in white fabric.

And you can not go to Milan and not shop, and conveniently, all the shops are laid throughout the streets of the city centre. I had to visit the Rectangle of Gold where I found the flagship store of Prada, which made me feel like I was in Heaven 🙂 But Prada is not the only brand that  can be found here, there are Tods, Louis Vuitton, etc. However, the Rectangle of Gold is not all, as I continue to walk around the centre, I found Hermes, Chanel, Salvatore Ferragamo, Kenzo and so many others that I can’t even remember them all now. I was too busy looking around and forgot to take pictures of the city ( so sorry guys).

So as I mentioned, you cannot go to Milan and not shop, and as for me it was a lot cheaper there too compare to London or Asia. So of course I bought myself some goodies, but I’m only showing one here, which is this gorgeous Prada tote that I had wanted for so so long, and had waited till the day I go to Italy so I can get it.

My outfit for the second day is this simple white top and the blue sport short, both from Forever21, and with the sparkling shoes from MissSelfridge. And of course, I had to wear my Prada tote right away. 🙂
Unfortunately, I only get to stay in Italy for 2 days, I had the best time and I would love to go back there again soon.
Milan is definitely a place to visit, not just for the fashion and shopping but also the food.

Hope you guys enjoy this post!:)
