Summer Nude makeup

Summer Nude makeup

Where did this year go??? Seriously, times just flew by, I have not gotten a chance to do anything and the year is already almost over, and haven’t got a chance to visit a beach. I’m in a desperate need for that summer tan, but since I cannot get that tan yet, I decided to bronze up my makeup look. I think summer is when you can either go for a bright colour lips makeup look or a complete nude. Today I decided to do a makeup look that I have wore throughout the entire month of June, especially the nude lips; it has been such a huge trend lately.

My work involve me being in and out of office, running through meetings and so I spend a lot of time building up the base for my makeup. Including face wash, toner & moisturizing serum in the morning before I apply any sort of makeup on my face. And primer is a must to any makeup look for me, currently I have using a lot of the Stila corrector primer. As for foundation, I use the Burberry Sheer Glow Foundation that comes in a shade darker than my current skin tone so I look like I have tanned skin but it did not make much of a different anyway. Then comes the concealer to cover up any acne or eyes bag that I might have on that day. Next comes the bronze, which I use the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess; I kind of went to town with this one cause I love that summer bronze glow. After which, I use the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze highlight to apply on bridge of my nose and high part of my cheeks. Before I apply blush on my cheeks, I go in with a compact powder to lock everything and this one from a Korean brand, Skinfood, which helps with prevent sebum secretion, I focus mainly on my T-zone and around my mouth, those areas tend to get oily half-way throughout my day so I want to prevent that from happening. Lastly for my face, I applied a peach shade cream blush, which also from Skinfood, just a little goes a long way.

Next comes the eyes makeup, I’ve been using this Tarte tease palette all the way through June since I got it back in May. Starting with the shade calls Whisper as base then applying Crush over, finishing off with Heartbreaker on the outer corner and just blend everything together with a blending brush. Using my favourite eyeliner from brand Kate, simply draw a straight line across the lid, keeping the line as close to the lashline as possible and slowly build them up to the thickness you prefer. Complete the eyes by curling lashes and a few coats of mascara.

Finally comes the key to the whole look is the nude liquid lipsticks by NYX, really loving the consistency and colour of this one.
